Admission

Dunalastair´s application process takes place twice a year. In March for applications to Playgroup and in September for vacancies available between Prekinder and I° Media. However, throughout the year we have an open process, for special cases, subject to availability.

Of the total number of existing vacancies, the first priority will be the siblings of our current students and the children of our staff. The rest will be offered to families who have successfully completed the application process.

Our process is very different from the way in which many schools select their students, but it seems to us that it fulfills in the best possible way the central value of our educational project which is fairness.

The admission process consists of four stages and has no cost for families:

• Applicant documentation: Receipt and review of the required documentation via application form.
• Informative activities: Once the application has been made, parents must participate in three mandatory activities to deepen their knowledge of the school's educational project and make an informed decision:
• Online activity
• Exposition of our Rector John Mackenzie
• Open School Visit
• Tombola and Communication of results: Applicants who have completed the entire process correctly will go to a raffle with tombola modality. Each applicant family will receive an individual letter, via email, with the result of their particular application.
• Formalization of incorporation: A deadline is given for the payment of the incorporation fee and delivery of documentation to formalize the registration. Once the date is over, the waiting list runs until all the quotas are filled.
